For clubs short on pitches

Sixty teams. Five pitches. One wet Tuesday.

Clubs are growing faster than their grounds. Sportdify can't build you a new pitch, but it makes the ones you have go further and tells every family the moment plans change.

Football in Victoria is short of pitches

New pitches take years to fund and build. Until then, the pitches you have need to work harder.

Example

A week at a 700-player club

  1. Sunday

    Every team gets a pitch

Put each team on a pitch, half or quarter. Sportdify suggests free pitches that suit the age group and flags clashes before you save.

Editing a training session with free pitches suggested and a warning that two sessions share the pitch
  2. Monday

    Coaches know who's coming

Everyone gets a push when a session is added and answers I'm in or Can't make it. Coaches see the numbers before they arrive.

A training session asking “Are you in?” with I'm in and Can't make it
  3. Tuesday

    Pitch 3 is waterlogged

Close the pitch, then send a push to every team it affects before they leave home.

Adding a closure for the whole venue or one pitch with a reason
  4. Saturday

    Game day, sorted

Venue, pitch and kick-off are on every phone. Parents follow all their children from one account.

A session with a venue map and fees

Built for the committee, not just the coaches

  • Pitches, halves and quarters

Set each pitch's size, opening hours and lights, and book sections on their own.

  • Clash warnings

Two teams on one pitch are flagged on the plan and in the session form.

  • Closures

Close one pitch or the whole ground, see which sessions it hits and tell those teams.

  • RSVPs

Every session asks who's in, so coaches see numbers before training, not when they arrive.

  • Team channels

Every team gets its own channel, kept in step with the roster.

  • One account per family

Parents manage every child's teams and sessions together.

Questions

Is the 700-player club a real customer?

No. It's an example of how a club that size would set up Sportdify. The numbers about pitches come from the public sources linked on this page.

Do we have to move our registrations?

No. You can start with pitches, schedules and chat and keep registering players the way you do today.

What if the whole ground is closed?

Close the whole venue instead of one pitch. Every session on it is flagged and you can notify all the teams affected at once.

Can coaches see the pitch plan?

Yes. Anyone in the club can see it. Club admins and those who manage games can change pitches, hours and closures.

What does a club our size pay?

Pro has a monthly base price plus a small fee for each active member. Larger clubs and associations can ask us for a custom quote.
