Setup
- Five cones in the circle: under the post, both sides and two near the edge.
- A feeder (F1) outside the circle, GS shooting, gk defending, GA rebounding.
How it runs
- GS leads to a cone, catches from F1 and shoots; gk stands 0.9 m away with arms up.
- GA collects the ball and passes back out to F1.
- GS moves to the next cone; five shots, then rotate roles.
- Count goals out of five; beat your score next round.
Coaching points
- Same routine every shot: balance, ball up, eyes on the ring, bend and release.
- Lead to the cone and land balanced, facing the post.
- gk: stand 0.9 m from the landing foot, lean over with arms up, no contact.
- Shoot within 3 seconds; don't rush the first second.
Common mistakes
- Rushing the shot from the far spots.
- gk creeping closer than 0.9 m.
- Shooting flat; aim to drop the ball into the ring.
Say it: “Balance, eyes up, bend and flick.”
Make it harder
- gk can jump to block the shot.
- Only goals from the far two cones count.
Make it easier
- No defender for the first round.
- Use a lower ring for younger groups.
