Setup
- GS and GA in the circle against GK (gk) and GD (gd).
- WA and C on the circle edge, C with the ball.
How it runs
- C passes to WA; GS and GA move to create one clear option.
- WA feeds the free shooter, who shoots; play the rebound out.
- If no feed is on, WA passes back to C and the shooters re-offer.
- Defenders score a point for an intercept or a forced long feed.
Coaching points
- Feeders: look at the circle first, then the ball comes.
- Feed into the hands away from the defender, flat and firm for a hold.
- Shooters: one drives, one holds; don't both go for the same space.
- Pass within 3 seconds; the hold only lasts a moment.
Common mistakes
- Lobbing over a defender who is behind, not in front.
- Both shooters crowding the same side of the circle.
- Feeders standing flat on the edge instead of moving for the angle.
Say it: “Look in, feed away from the hands.”
Make it harder
- Feeders have 2 seconds to pass.
- Add a WD (wd) on the edge to pressure WA.
Make it easier
- gd defends at half pace.
- Feeders can pass to each other as often as they like.
