- Equipment
- 2 netballs14 position bibs1 whistle
Setup
- Full court, two teams in position bibs, normal rules and playing areas.
- The coach sets one condition per block of 5 minutes and calls it before the centre pass.
How it runs
- Block 1: the ball must reach the goal circle within three passes of the centre pass.
- Block 2: a goal from a turnover is worth 2 points.
- Block 3: every pass must be a chest or bounce pass, no lobs.
- Swap positions at each block; use spare players as rolling subs.
Coaching points
- Know the condition before the whistle and plan the first two passes.
- Look up the court first, then to the side.
- Defenders: one turnover can win the block, so contest every pass.
Common mistakes
- Forgetting the condition once play gets busy.
- Rushing a pass that is not on just to meet the pass count.
Say it: “Know the rule, look long, then decide.”
Make it harder
- Stack two conditions together.
- Shot clock: 15 seconds from the centre pass to a shot.
Make it easier
- Four passes to the circle instead of three.
- Freeze play to talk through one decision per block.
