Setup

  1. Keeper in goal, a shooter at the edge of the area, two runners at halfway with cones as targets.

How it runs

  1. Shooter shoots; the keeper saves and holds.
  2. The keeper throws to whichever runner calls, who controls and dribbles over the far line.
  3. Twelve goes, then rotate.

Coaching points

  • Secure the ball, then look up.
  • Overarm to the far runner, underarm roll to the near one.
  • Throw in front of the runner, not at them.

Common mistakes

  • Throwing before looking.
  • Looping throws that bounce.

Say it: “Catch, look, throw.”

Make it harder

  • Add a defender on the runner.
  • Keeper must throw within 4 seconds.

Make it easier

  • Shooter plays a slow ball.
  • Runners stand still.
