Setup

  1. A 20 × 15 m pitch with a 3 m end zone marked at each end.
  2. Two teams of three; spare balls with the coach at the side.
  3. With more than six players, run two pitches or rotate teams on.

How it runs

  1. Score by passing to a teammate who stops the ball with the sole inside the end zone.
  2. Nobody waits in the end zone; players run in to receive.
  3. After a score, the other team restarts with a pass from their own end line.
  4. When the ball goes out, the other team takes a kick-in from the line within 4 seconds.
  5. Games of 3 minutes; rotate teams so everyone gets the same game time.

Coaching points

  • Spread out: one wide on each side, one further forward.
  • Pass, then move to a new space.
  • Time the run into the end zone with the pass.
  • Defenders stay on their feet, no sliding.

Common mistakes

  • All three chasing the ball.
  • Standing in the end zone waiting.
  • Long passes that bounce.

Say it: “Spread, pass, run in.”

Make it harder

  • Three touches each at most.
  • Only score after three passes in a row.

Make it easier

  • Dribbling into the end zone also scores.
  • Add a neutral player who plays for the team with the ball.
