Setup
- Pairs, one in side control on top.
How it runs
- Ten repetitions each: frame on the neck and hip, bridge, shrimp, knee in, recover guard.
- Then 60 seconds live: top holds, bottom escapes.
- Swap and repeat.
Coaching points
- Frames first; never push with the hands.
- Bridge into the partner, then shrimp away.
- Get the knee between you and them.
Common mistakes
- Pushing with straight arms.
- Shrimping without bridging first.
Say it: “Frame, bridge, shrimp, knee.”
Make it harder
- Top may transition to mount or knee-on-belly.
- Escape to the back instead of guard.
Make it easier
- Top at 50 percent.
- Technique only, no live round.
