Setup

  1. One boxer per bag; combinations numbered 1 (jab) to 6 (rear uppercut).

How it runs

  1. Coach calls numbers: 1-2, 1-2-3, 1-2-3-2 and so on.
  2. Throw the combination, then move around the bag.
  3. Three rounds, 1 minute rest.

Coaching points

  • Every punch starts from the guard.
  • Move after the combination: never stand in front of the bag.
  • Breathe out on each punch.

Common mistakes

  • Pushing the bag instead of snapping.
  • Standing square to the bag.

Say it: “Guard, throw, move.”

Make it harder

  • Coach calls defence too: 'slip', 'roll'.
  • Last 30 seconds all out.

Make it easier

  • Two-punch combinations only.
  • 90-second rounds.
